Important Dates
A wide-eyed seed falls into Mother Earth’s womb,
A pristine drop of water holds it tight,
The sun kisses it soft,
Morning wind brushes gently,
A smile shines brightest on a child and on the gentle teen…
Dear Colleagues,
Children and adolescents are the largest population who are influenced by life-threatening climate change at the global level and natural disasters, pandemics, conflicts, and mass migrations caused by unequal access to natural resources. As they are the sole owners of our future it is our top priority and primary duty to protect them from these effects and to offer them a healthy and strong future with shining eyes as well as to ensure that they grow up and develop in peace and tranquillity in the lands where they were born.
We are obliged to many colleagues for their effort and support in the establishment of the Eastern Paediatrics Association, which will enjoy to celebrate its fourth anniversary this year. As the Association, we are pleased and definitely excited to invite you to participate in the 4th Eastern Pediatrics Congress.
The theme of the congress will be “promising a habitable planet and sustainable life for our children and adolescents”. So, we believe that it will make remarkable contributions to the field of child-adolescent health and diseases both in the world and in our country. The congress is planned to be held at Dicle University Congress Centre between September 26–29, 2024. The programme will offer you a rich scientific content with panel discussions, conferences, and courses on basic topics and problems. It also includes sessions for consulting your expert as well as oral and poster presentations. We will have the opportunity to share and discuss current information in the field of child and adolescent health by receiving the experiences of our valuable professionals who are experts in their fields where our young colleagues will refresh and increase their knowledge. We believe your valuable participation as guests will make the congress to achieve its purpose.
The congress will not only offer a platform to share your professional experiences and scientific knowledge but also it will provide you many opportunities to surf in the historical, cultural, and natural sites of Diyarbakır for new friendships and delicious tests, to find yourself in the depths of the exotic architecture and historical sites in Mardin and Midyat and in the magnificent natural beauty of Hasankeyf.
Altogether, to harvest the seeds that we have planted in our knowledge gardens the whole year, in the splendour of the city walls, in the serenity of the Tigris river, and always strive to be a strong family.
Because as the poet said, “Childhood is like the sky… It never really leaves…”
With our best regards.
